Every other year, the Stillwater Water Garden group organizes a tour of members' water gardens. Our members volunteer to open their gardens to the public so that others can come and enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of our water gardens and learn more about the process. We try to select locations that will allow a circuit of ponds close enough to one another that they can all be visited within a few hours. Water garden owners typically answer questions, offer refreshments and shade, as well as educational information for distribution. They will share their advice and sometimes have displays detailing their water garden's construction and make up as well as seasonal photos of their projects. Ponds on the tour can range in size from @ a few hundred gallons up to hundreds of thousands of gallons! All of this comes together to produce a fun and educational experience that touches hundreds of people.
The 2011 tour is $5 for your carload of friends/family and comes with a free tour book. Information on the tour and where to purchase a book can be found
here .
We hope to see you visiting or hosting a water garden tour!
